This is a very brief list of some activities in the area besides those readily available amenities in the
Villages of Five Points such as 2 outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, walking and biking paths,
concerts and/or movies on the green, shops, restaurants, groceries, banking, and more.  

Beach it!
  • Lewes Public Beach Wonderful for beach combing and collecting shells.  Located on the
    Delaware Bay.  Parking Meters will be in effect from May 1 through October 15 from the hours
    of 9am to 6pm.  Metered parking.
  • Cape Henlopen State Park where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean, located in
    Lewes.  Call 302-645-8983  Daily fee paid at gate for each vehicle.
  • This 3000 acre park has the famous 'walking' sand dunes, WWII lookout towers, nature
    trails with guides, a nature center, camping, bathhouses, recreation areas and areas for
    surf fishing and swimming.  
  • The park's hiking and biking trails provide visitors with a picturesque setting for outdoor
  • Walk to the point (where the bay meets the ocean) & view the 2 lighthouses -  
    Breakwater & Refuge.
  • Borrow bicycles from the Seaside Nature Center on a first come, first serve basis, and
    then ride a trail. Climb the World War II Observation Towers for a spectacular view.
  • Other nearby beaches include: Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Delaware Seashore State
    Parks, south of Dewey and at the Indian River Inlet.
  • Go Kayaking in the Bay or Surfing in the Atlantic

Nassau Valley Vineyards
The states only winery features well manicured hills where grapes are grown before being made into
various wines.  Visitors will enjoy a tour of the history of wine-making, as well as wine tasting. For

Dogfish Head Brewery
The brewery is open for self-guided tours.  Visitors can see items such as the fermenting tank, ice
building and mash turn.  At peak production, Dogfish can bottle 50 bottles per minute. Dogfish's
award-winning Shelter Pale Ale is made from Delaware grown barley.
