How far are you from the beach?
We are located approximately 2 1/2 miles (8 minutes) from two wonderful beaches:  
  1. Lewes Beach which is the Delaware Bay.  Excellent for collecting shells & great for small children.
  2. Cape Henlopen State Park which is the Atlantic Ocean.  Watch for bottle nose dolphins.
Many people find it convenient to drive to the beach because of all the gear (chairs, umbrella, coolers,
toys, towels, rafts, etc).  Cape Henlopen State Park has loading zones for convenience.  Whereas the
Lewes Beach has metered parking directly in front of the beach area.  

I was wondering if you rent by days and how much it is per day?
Summer months - June, July, & August - we only rent on a WEEKLY basis, Saturday to Saturday.  
Off season - October to April - it is possible to rent for a long weekend, a few days, or even rent on a
monthly basis (off-season only).  Contact us for availability, rates, and information.

What additional costs are added to the rental fee?  Sales tax, cleaning, etc?
There are no additional fees. Our weekly rate includes cleaning and all other fees.  Because we are
outside of the city of Lewes, the condo does not incur a city tax.  Delaware does not have a sales tax.

How old is this condo unit?
The Villages of Five Points complex is only a few years old, with 2 pools and tennis courts now open.  
The condominium units are towards the back, with stores and restaurants near the front of the complex.

We have very reasonable prices when you compare the cost of 2 hotel rooms that would accommodate
6, plus with our condo you get a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and balcony.

Can you explain what happens if we are unable to come for the week which we gave the
deposit.  What happens if you cannot re-rent my week? Can the deposit be carried forward
and for how long?
  • If you decide to reserve a week, we would require a deposit of half the full amount with in 10 days
    of placing a verbal hold on the desired week.
  • The final payment balance is due three weeks prior to check-in.
  • If you need to cancel, notify us right away so that we can try to re-rent the property, as soon as
    possible.  We will work with a local real estate agent, advertise on Craigs List, and through our
    website to try to fill the vacancy.
  • If we re-rent the condo, then your deposit will be returned or you can choose to use it toward any
    future rental.
  • If we are unable to re-rent the property, then regrettably we could not return the deposit.
    We would much rather have someone rent that week, then to keep a deposit!!

Is the condo fully furnished?
Yes it is fully furnished.  It is fully equipped with a beds, dressers, nightstands, a dinning area, phones,
clocks, etc.  There is nothing worse then going into a rental property that is not completely stocked -
(having one pan, 2 forks, and 3 plates- oh my!), or rentals that smell old and musty, or ones that have
cheap furnishings. So we made a point to make ours a bit nicer than average.  Plus, we believe by
exceeding "the standard", that all our guests will treat the condo as they would their own home.

Does the "fully stocked" kitchen include a stove?
Yes, a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, garbage disposal, full set of pots & pans, silverware,
glassware, and dish-ware, utensils, knives, mixing bowls, measuring cups, baking pans, mixer, cutting
board, tea kettle, coffee pot, toaster, etc, etc.  If we have missed an item in the kitchen, just call us or
leave a note.  We should have it in the condo for the next time you rent with us.

What floor is the condo on?
Condo unit # 4204 is located on the second floor.
The building does not have an elevator, just stairs.
